Larger ImageBoomerang Compensating Filter w/chain tracer
A curved compensating filter with metal chain tracer incorporated along the upper periphery, attenuates the excess radiation that obliterates the humeral head on AP shoulder radiographs. The filter is placed on the table top with the thin edge just under the edge of the shoulder. The result after exposure is a very evenly exposed radiograph. Additional uses include: lateral knee/patella; AP cervical including upper thorax, nasion and chin (soft tissue) and oblique mandible. Also available without the chain tracer.
