F Spoon Compression Device
This unique hand held, lever action fluoroscopic compression and palpation device permits improved palpation and compression of barium filled colon, small bowel, gas bubbles, or similar applications. Lever design permits greater pressure by using wrist action and reduces fatigue. Radiation exposure to the hand is reduced to 1/10th that of gloved hand palpation. Manufactured of injection molded plastic, the device is radiolucent yet strong and easily cleaned. Lead markers 1 cm apart are permanently embedded near the "spoon" for convenient lesion sizing. Serrated hand grip plus projections on the underside permit a secure non-slip grip. The greatest improvement in hand held compression devices in years. The 16-3/4 in. design allows for the use of larger muscles of upper arm and shoulder and permits greater force to be applied with less radiologist effort.
Dimensions: 16-3/4 in. x 6-1/2 in. (356 or 425 x 165 mm) (L x W)
Note: Not suitable for prone compression.
