The Ingot (229001) compensating filter with straight borders is used to attenuate excess radiation to enhance visualization of C-7 or lateral lumbar spine (L1-L5) especially in patients with large hips and thin waists. Also dorso-lumbar spine (T10-T12), AP/lateral view of hip and greater trochanter of emaciated patients, as well as axial view of the calcaneus.
