Lateral decubitus images normally obtained during double-contrast barium enema exams are often difficult to interpret because of the broad range of densities in the film. The Clear-Pb Decubitus Filter reduces the radiation exposure to the over-exposed side of the patient, providing a radiograph that is easy to read. Visualization of structures, lesions and other details is improved significantly.
