This filter has many versatile functions for use with CR and film. No positioning is required - just move it in until it stops; they are already centered! Tech Proof with a stainless steel base custom fit for all x-ray machines (including portables). Excessive radiation is also reduced by filtering before it reaches the patient!

Wedge Use Detail
PA chest: It can be used to improve PA chest x-rays on women when the densities of the breasts require a technique that overexposes the apices. The filter balances the density between both of these regions.
AP thoracic spine: It has application on the AP thoracic spine view to reduce overexposure of the lower cervical and demonstrate an even density from T-12 to the lower cervical spine.
Upright & Decubitus abdomens: It can be used for upright and decubitus abdomens. On the upright abdomen the lower lung fields will maintain the proper viewing density. Using the filter on the decubitus abdomen will reduce the overexposure of the side of the abdomen that is up.
AP and Y view of the shoulder: The filter can be used for both the AP and Y view of the shoulder to improve visualization of the AC joint.
AP hip: Using the filter for the AP hip on emaciated patients reduces the overexposure of the greater trochanter.
Axillary view of the shoulder: The density of the shoulder joint on the axillary view can be increased without overexposing the humerous.
